DJ Cal started working in nightlife at age 16 he was hired as a door host at Cafe Rumba, a latin night club in chicago that featured Tito Puente's piano player on stage every weekend. Cal quickly became a well known person in nightlife in Chicago before even turning 21 years old. since the early days, cal was always focusing on original production and leaving a unique twist on art music skating and making good communities.

Cal held a residency at Rodan which plugged him into working in the studio with local legends like Tim Baker, Nico Heins and cachet. These mentors and collaborators were very creative people that helped to shape Caleb's goal in life which is to find a harmony between art and science. That is really where he gained appreciation for working "outside of the box" as an electronic musician, in Chicago.

About six years ago Cal befriended Dr.Shaikat Hossain , Ph.D. together they would dive deep into analog modular synthesis, sound design, and coding. With their shared passion, they formed The Ananda Theory sculpting sounds for progressive house and breaks. Cal and Shaikat have done Live PA shows from New York City to Hollywood.

Currently cal is focusing on music production, mountain biking, becoming a better skateboarder, and sound design. Cal is a founding member of Planet ADSR, The Ananda Theory, and Retox DJ crew collaborating with over thirty Local Chicago DJs.. DJ Cal is passionate about making electronic music resonate with everyone and having fun!
